Lab #1 - The Bio Builder
I've turned my live demos into a self-serve lab to learn or share with your users. In just twenty minutes, learn how to build a white-label ready AI agent that solves real workplace annoyances.
I’ve run a lot of live demos. Hundreds of people watching me build something in Copilot while they follow along, ask questions, and inevitably hit the same handful of troubleshooting snags. Those sessions work! People leave with something real, but they don’t scale.
So I built a process to create self-serve versions. This is the first, a bio customization Agent. The original pitch for was for a leadership conference of a few hundred attendees that ranged in knowledge from “day one learner” to “leads AI implementation teams”.
The Bio Customizer walks you through creating an AI agent that tailors your professional bio to specific sales opportunities. Twenty minutes, no coding, browser-based. You describe what you want in plain language, toggle on document generation, and test it with a real opportunity you’re working on.
Why a bio customizer? Because it’s useful without being high-stakes. You’re not automating client deliverables or touching sensitive data. You’re just making the “ugh, I need to tweak my bio for this proposal again” task disappear. That’s the point—your first agent should solve a real annoyance, not impress anyone at a conference.
The lab uses Copilot Studio Lite, which lives right inside M365 Copilot Chat. No separate tool to learn, no IT ticket to submit. If you have a Copilot license, you can start building right now.
I designed this to be white-label ready. If you’re running adoption programs at your own organization and want to give people a guided first experience with agents, take it. Rebrand it. The goal was never to hoard this stuff—it was to get more people past the “I don’t know where to start” barrier.
Because here’s what I’ve learned from all those live demos: the hardest part isn’t teaching people how to build agents. It’s convincing them they’re allowed to try.
You are. Go build something.
